This Month

Evening Tastings are all in bold...


March 11 - C is for Chardonnay, California Chardonnay. We will look at a variety of wines from different regions as we focus on the Chardonnay grape, featuring Drew Neiman of Vanguard Wines (and Neiman Cellars).

March 18 -Late Winter/Early Spring Beers. We'll take a break from our 'Wine Region A to Z' and take a look at recent arrivals, whether they be Barleywines, Irish Reds or Bocks. Beer samples are only 25¢.

March 25 - C is for Catalonia (or Catalunya in Catalan). The fine wines of Miguel Torres will be presented by Trevor Williams of Vintage Wine Distributors.

March 30 - Rancho Sisquoc tasting. 4-7pm. Our 1st Happy Hour Tasting of the year, featuring a California winery that's new to Ohio. Price TBD.

April 1 - Ken Harvey. April Foolishly Low Prices. A sampling of values for Spring from Cutting Edge Selections. Three reds and three whites, all good deals.

April 8 - Down and dirty in the Dao and Douro with Darla - Darla Cummings of Bowling Green Beverage will be here as we discuss the wines of Portugal. Not Port, but the dry reds (and whites) of the Dao and Douro river valleys will be featured.

April 15 - Sarah Hatfield. Wines TBA

........all in-store tastings are informal and only 50¢ per taste for wines (25¢ for beer).....come and expand your horizons...........

Evening Events

Thursday March 30th -- Stop in after work to sample the wines of Rancho Sisquoc. This winery has just been picked up for Ohio distribution and we are lucky enough to be able to schedule a tasting with a winery representative. This will be a casual tasting with some light appetizers provided. Exact lineup of wines and pricing for the tasting are still to be determined.

Friday February 10th -- Another round of Pottery Paintin' and Vino Tastin' at the , 1431 West 3rd Avenue. Bring your Sweetheart for an early Valentine's evening out. Our just-about-quarterly evenings at the Clay Cafe are a good opportunity to expand your wine horizons in a relaxed setting while you create clever crafts. We feature wines from around the world for you to sample as you decorate plates, coffee mugs, drawer pulls, vases, and more! Cost is $15 per person, in addition to the cost of the clay pieces you opt to paint. Please make Reservations at the Clay Cafe, 614.486.5815.
